Hi, I’m Dejan.
I'm a product engineer at Dash0, where we build an OpenTelemetry-native observability platform.
Timeline
2017I wrote my first code at fourteen, teaching myself through calculators, throwaway scripts, a Snake clone, and a run of small games.
2018 – 2021For a few years everything I built had exactly one user, me: Minecraft plugins running on my own server, Discord bots, and whatever small tool I needed at the time.
2021My school needed software to manage the iPads it was handing out during lockdown, so I built it as my final computer science project.
2022 – nowI started a computer science degree at Ruhr University Bochum, and I'm still finishing it.
2025 – 2026Dash0 took me on as a working student, my first real job in the industry.
2026 – nowI went full-time as a product engineer at Dash0, working on the observability platform while I finish the degree.
